President & CEO
LaJuanna Russell has more than 20 years of executive leadership experience in all aspects of business operations, government contracting, and consulting, with particular expertise in human resource management, human resource technology and process improvement. She is a sought-after speaker on topics such as Future of Work, Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion, Entrepreneurship, and Women in Government Contracting. She is a visionary who started her business in 2006 with a personal investment of just $500. Today BMA is an award-winning, multi-million-dollar business, listed on the Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest-Growing Companies three years in a row.
Ms. Russell holds a BA in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech, an accelerated MBA with concentrations in International Business and Finance from George Washington University, and a six sigma greenbelt certification. She is chair of Small Business Majority’s Board of Directors, a member of Alexandria Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, a member of The George Washington School of Business Advisory Board, a member of Professional Services Council Board of Directors, immediate past chair of Alexandria Commission on Employment, an incoming board member for The Campagna Center, the incoming DC Leadership Council Co-Chair for Vital Voices, a member of Women Impacting Public Policy’s Leadership Advisory Council, a member of Intuit’s Small Business QuickBooks Council, and an alumna of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program.
Rene Gunn
VP, Technical Program Management
For more than 20 years, Rene Gunn has provided expertise and solutions to both public and private sector clients, helping them with business transformation, process improvement, technology solutions, and cyber risk management. At Business Management Associates, she reports to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing strategic planning, technical program management, policy, compliance, and client service delivery.
Prior to BMA, Ms. Gunn served as chief business operation executive for a global IT solutions firm with offices in the U.S. and India, led client success and project management for a firm with contracts serving 1,800+ government agencies in 33 states, and led teams responsible for managing client doing business across multiple verticals in U.S., Canada, Europe, and Puerto Rico. She has successfully built client and technical program management organizations from the ground up, creating cohesive, collaborative environments. Ms. Gunn holds a BA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute, completed both Six Sigma Green and Black Belt Certification Programs from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is pursuing a master's degree in Cybersecurity Policy at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Dyson Richards, CEO at cBEYONData, applies his three decades of experience and skills building world-class federally focused IT and consulting capabilities to enhance their reputation as a leading professional services and products firm. Dyson has been active in the federal government contracting industry for more than 30 years, serving on the Board of Directors of the Professional Services Council (PSC) and volunteering as a member of the Acquisition & Business Policy Council Executive Advisory Board and Chairman of the Smart Contracting Working Group. Dyson is a member of the American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC).
As a business partner, informal mentor, and Board of Directors/Advisors member, Dyson has helped dozens of businesses mature their business strategies, operational processes, and growth plans. He has participated in ten corporate acquisitions/transactions and subsequent integrations (five as a seller and five as a buyer), creating invaluable insights into the strategies and attributes that contribute to successful corporate value creation.
